About S.C.A.A

The Senegalese Catholic Association of America ( S.C.A.A.) is a 501-C-3 non-profit organization that was incorporated under the D-number 05688197 in Maryland in November of 1999.

We invite every catholic person of Senegalese descent who lives in the US to join our organization.

Three entities govern the SCAA:

  • The general assembly

  • The executive board

  • The districts, which can be established in any region of the United States which has a Senegalese catholic community.

  • Under the provisions of the Statutes governing the Association, the General Assembly of the membership meets in an ordinary session every three years to elect a Board of 8 members:

  1. The President and Chair of the Association

  2. The Vice President

  3. General Secretary.

  4. Deputy General Secretary

  5. Secretary of Organization

  6. Secretary of the Organization Assistant

  7. Treasurer

Assistant Treasurer

  • At the local level, the Association is organized in Districts, covering several States. Each District elects a coordinator, who is supported by a local team to run the activities of the Association in their territory.
